Hi Joey. Hope all is well. I just discovered your site here while looking for some answers to a question i have about late model wrx wheels. I have a new to me 2022 wrx Ts wagon which with the wagons for some reason Subaru shod themwith 18 x 7.5 rims with 225/45 R18 tyres. The sedans however are shod with 18 x 8.5 rims with 245/40 R18 tyres? Do you know why they did this? I quite like the sedan wheels and would not mind getting some powder coated and onto my wagon. In your opinion would this be a problem in any way due to offset or whatever? I would put the same tyres as my wagon has now on them to hopefully not upset the speedo and tyre pressure monitoringbut hmmmm. Any help greatly appreciated and i will be sure to check out your youtube content which now seeing you here I think i have a bit already. Kind regardsShane. South Australia. Reply
I am not sure Shane and you should not have any issues with fitting the sedan wheels as many of us have done that over the years. They might have went with a 225/45/18 for better ride quality due to a larger sidewall but I am not sure. Reply
Thanks Joey. I actually threw caution to the wind and got some aftermarket wheels with correct offset.Had to be done.lol. Cheers.
